Palacerigg Country Park
Housework all morning and then an afternoon of fresh air and farm animals. The boys were very impressed with the fat-face sheep, Zebs the shivering cow, the chickens that looked like scribbles and the strutting peacock that shimmered beautifully in the sunlight.
Much to mine and my hubby's astonishment they then came home and spent well over an hour in the garden collecting up all the leaves. Cost us £4 but quite frankly we were both too shocked to argue about the price.
