Inside in the Outside

We had a small piece of tech to deliver to Ann and Mats and our initial plan was to walk round to their house, but other activities got in the way and we realised we would be walking back in the dark.  So we drove round.
Another part of the initial plan was to just drop off the bag and head home but they were happy to chat and though it was frosty outside we reckoned we could sit in the greenhouse, which is bigger than a lot of British gardens, and as you see in the picture has a fireplace.  So we sat there eating freshly baked croissant and drinking delicious coffee, feeling like we were in a rather chilly area of France, rather than mid-Sweden.  (This is how we travel these days - mostly in our imagination!)
It Wass lovely to catch up with them after the Christmas/NewYear holiday.
The roaring fire looked wonderful and radiated a certain amount of heat but it did nothing for feet resting on a -2°C brick floor and eventually we all got a bit chilly and called it a day. Back home we lit our stove and sat near it with feet stretched out toward the warmth until we were thoroughly warmed through again.
Later I got my walk, in the dark. Low cloud was reflecting light downwards and despite being hundreds of meters from the nearest street lamps, and kilometres away from the nearest town there was still enough light to see by, if you weren’t too concerned with details.
