One of my favorite things

Took a study break to take a photo of something almost always present in the house: fresh flowers. It's a small item but adds to the life of any room. And as I spend this Sunday studying the anatomy of the eye and it's various impairments or conditions, paused to focus on one of my favorite things in life.

Tulips, in particular, remind me of driving from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and visiting the gardens. Also of the Tulip market fiasco several hundred years back and how it was once traded, and the impact of those gambles to Europeans back then. A beautiful flower that's rich in beauty.
