Arnside

We ventured out today, braving a snowstorm to get to Arnside.
The walk along the shore was lethal, crossing sheets of frozen mud with walkers slipping over all around us although I survived ok.
We decided to take the short route up to the Knot which was not too slippery, although paths in the shade were tricky to negotiate.
The view from the top across to the Fells was splendid, but then we had to slide our way down again!
Made it safely home in the end and put the fire in quickly to defrost!
