Crisp, Cold and Clear

A great day for a bracing walk. 

The swans didn't hang around this morning as there was almost nowhere for them to settle on free water. One minute they were there and the next they were gone and I don't them expect then to return until the ice melts a bit.

I couldn't believe the sight of the father and son down testing the strength of the ice. They had to climb over a chain barrier before walking down the slope to the ice .... had they broken the ice they would only have had wet feet but it does seem a silly thing to do
