Sun on New Years Day

A lazy morning for me.Mike popped over to Inverness to return Richards slippers that he left behind on Christmas Day and to buy some more food for the next few days.He said it was really quiet everywhere.
After lunch we though we would head to the beach for a walk.I think everyone from Inverness had the same idea as both carparks were packed and cars etc were parked all along the seafront as far as the golf club.Far too busy so we went on towards Udale bay wondering if a walk in the forest would be ok, solid ice stopped that idea so on to Cromarty after washing the car. No one around except for a couple of locals so we had a perfect walk in the sunshine.
The harbour has been finished and all the scaffolding and fencing taken away .We walked out to see the new sheds that are on the same footprint as the old ones .I always like the view down the Firth and across to the lighthouse.
Back home , hot chocolate and a Scooby doo burger whilst watching another episode of Junior Bake Off. Finished watching The Alienist in the evening.
