2021 day 1

We actually waited till midnight last night to cheer the new year.  Took it easy today: I gave the 3rd coat of paint to the mantel and Bernie kept working on the wall.  It is work, but we also relax doing it. 
We  started a fire in the kitchen: the fireplace is amazing, but unfortunately it is one that we don't use that often, even though we should. 
Had a nice dinner and just watch some tv.  The weather was pretty crap and I did not go out at all.
