The warming pad
Most of the village water dragons are beginning to slough their skins as they grow. First it turns orange and you can see that beginning on this one's back. It's reluctance to move as I approached indicate that it is feeling the coolness of the day and needing to flatten down onto the warm stone for the last phase of the day. Today I saw a fairly large goanna (lace monitor) out and about but it was also slow and sluggish as it clambered back into it's cave under the pathway. Too quick for me to photograph I'm afraid. Day 2 of 2021 - life's what you make it so don't waste it. More clay work for me today.
