Together we dipped into a new year...

Well we certainly left 2020 behind last night. With four of the five kids still with us at home and joining with the bubble we support we managed to stay up to nearly 4am, with good music, endless card games and enjoyable conversation. It's been such a tough year and our four university students have had some really challenging things to deal with but they are doing their best to take it in their stride... We cried a few tears acknowledging the UK's departure from the EU, we talked positively about the rolling out of the vaccines and we toasted lost friends. Then today (late!) we swam together in the very cold waters of Windermere, one way to wash away that late night weariness and feel alive and energised for the year ahead...
