New Year's Day Sunrise
The sky was pretty this morning. This was taken from my front garden. It was hard to avoid house roofs, a lamp post, and some tv aerials!
I did go to the beach later but I have a lot of beach blips and this morning felt special, so I chose the sunrise instead of the sea.
There were some very obvious tourists on the beach today. And a camper van with its roof open in the car park. I had thought no one shoudl be travelling now - Cornwall got suddenly moved u to Tier 3. Only two weeks ago we were in Tier 1 with 33 infections per 100K. Today it was 150 per 100K. When testing positive I presume people give their home address, so it can't be ascertained if those people actually got tested in Cornwall and if they are bringing the virus in.
A few people had blankets spread out on the sand and having picnics. Some had fold-up chairs. I think it must be a New Year's Day tradition to picnic on the beach! It had been a really cold night but the sun was warming the air on the beach.
