Turning of the Year
We saw the New Year in at Cecílio and Ermelinda's, just the four of us, which is twice as many as it would have been for them and us otherwise. Cecílio's food was excellent and abundant, as always, and the conversation was varied, enlightening in parts, and mutual, as conversation should be.
Bubbly was clinked at midnight (see the glasses) while we watched Paul, our son, and Sam, our s-i-l, taking part in a Livestream from our church in Sutton - which Julia and Tom were also watching in Manchester. What a wonderful world we live in.
Not the best photo, but it's the best record, and a peek into a Portuguese home - don't miss Duda, such a dear little dog.
Gratefuls:
- a cobweb-blowing walk at Luz this morning
- more food and conversation at C&E's this afternoon
- local government contracting agency staff to fill the gaps at the Care Home, so the residents are looked after properly - and no more new cases outside of the Home
