A beautiful start to 2021
Happy New Year to everyone! We didn’t party but I woke up at midnight to the din of fireworks! Seemed to last for ages!
A huge thank you to you all for all the comments, hearts and stars for my 2500 blip! I was astonished and delighted! Thank you so much!
Today the day started with the most beautiful sky with the moon playing hide and seek among the delicately coloured clouds!
We greeted the girls around 10:00. A very good day! Highlights were the cheese tasting as Little Missy wanted to know which one she liked best! On offer: a soft, delicate goats cheese, cheddar, comté: a French cheese, some Stilton and one little piece of feta left with garlic olives! She liked this last one best! Grandbaby who is now four didn’t really like cheese which isn’t surprising as she has only recently started eating dairy products.
We looked at some of Andy Warhol pictures and then used shapes cut in potatoes to print pictures. We made birds: large round for body, small one for head and a long semicircle for tail feathers!
Lunch was tuna fish salad and then we had a fresh fruit and dates, walnuts dried apricots with marzipan, snack after walking to a friends to deliver a birthday present for tomorrow! When Dad had collected the pair Ro and I went for our walk. Some of the pavements were treacherous but most were ok!
Hope you’ve had a good first day of 2021. I wonder how it will be compared to its predecessor!
