Are We Redding Up or Tearing Up?

There comes a time when you absolutely must tear apart a closet. For me, that time arrived on this day. I am turning part of the room that was Dexter's into a home office, and I ordered a brand new desk a few days ago. I have never had a desk of my own and I am very excited!

I started making a list of the things I would want on or around my desk, and included on that list were containers and little organizers. The closet in that room is the Three-C's closet: containers, coats, and candles. As it turns out, I have MANY fun little desk organizing items. And boy, do I have enough candles to start my own candle emporium!

This picture shows the chaos I created in the room. If my mother were here on site right now, she'd ask me that eternal question, "Are you redding up or tearing up?" For "redding up" in central PA means "tidying things up." I thought it was a PA Dutch phrase, but when I looked it up, I discovered that it is of Scottish origin. How interesting.

If you look closely, you may see a tiny orange creature in the middle of things, surveying the mess. That would be my trusty assistant, T. Tiger. He was stalwart, and so was I. In a short while, I'd found just what I was looking for, and everything was tidy! It was time well spent. Yay!

Our soundtrack song is a fun little tune to get organized to: Taylor Swift, with Shake It Off. Feel free to leap up and dance around if the spirit moves you!
