New Year’s Day

I adapted my Christmas wreath at the front door into a New Year wreath. At first it had a big white ribbon and it looked fit for a wedding, so I removed the bow, and added the date, just to make it clear that nobody was getting married.
We have had a very quiet day, reading and sewing in front of a log fire. It is cold and dreary outside, and anyway, it is a Bank Holiday. No need to be busy!
