The Tricky Bit

Just the sky left on Xmas jigsaw no.3 which is quite tricky on this one as the pieces are identical colours at this point. I was going to go to West Runton this afternoon for low tide, but the rain set in. I came across my last cruise invoice today, I thought it was 2 years ago but it was last year - this year has been extremely long!!! Our new partnership with the EU has started smoothly.

Day 292 / Day 13 of the 4 Tiers (for my record only)
UK deaths up 656 to 74,168 (revised basis), with 53,285 new cases, 23,823 patients in hospital and 1,847 on ventilation (only data for England is being updated every day during the xmas/new year period). Globally cases to date pass 84m. Imperial College has said that the new variant increases the R rate by between 0.4 and 0.7, and that the disease was likely to have tripled during the Nov lockdown, which again raises the question about why we don't have a Tier 5 or a stricter National lockdown. The 4 CMOs have signed a letter shedding a bit more light on the dosing change to maximise the number with some immunity - they say 'currently the main barrier to this is vaccine availability, a global issue, and this will remain the case for several months and, importantly, through the critical winter period' and that 'vaccine shortage is a reality that cannot be wished away.' The VP of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine says we are at battle stations and that 'people are tired, frustrated and fed-up.' Dozens of new year parties were broken up by Police in England and hundreds of fines were issued, including a £10k fine to a woman in Essex who had a house party with over 100 people attending - idiots!
