Amost Gone

Here is an interesting old homestead that is gradually leaving this world. I havepreviously photographed it from the roadside but finally gathered my courage and knocked on the door of the farmhouse next door. Indeed, the house in the photo belonged to a 72 year old woman who lived alone after being widowed for five years. She was happy to allow me to photograph the home which allowed me a better vantage point. This is a tough photo because it was snowing and there was grit in the air. However, I like the starkness and will return when the light is different.
