Hogmanay

"Scotland, stand by as we count down to 2021. In 30 seconds..."

BBC Scotland coverage of Hogmanay always make me feel nostalgic. It was surprisingly good fun to watch it with my sisters over zoom, each of us watching from a different country. It all got a bit meta, watching them watch our telly, from the laptop. Apparently ours was the most 'live'. They both had a bit of a delay. 

I was also very pleased to have a phone call from P, a couple of hours beforehand.

We played Codenames with A+M. A few, very tricky games, but fun. It was almost as good as having them here in person. Just lacking in hugs.

2020 has been a strange beast. It has been quite an unnerving experience to simultaneously have your whole routine upended, and yet at the same time live a familiar, but very thin slice of it - a distorted echo - again and again, every day.
