Whooper Swans on the River Forth

This afternoon we took a run up to Lake of Menteith which was perfectly pleasant but not really stunning. Returning to Stirling, we turned off near Dobbies garden centre on to the old road which gives access to the riverside. A flotilla of about thirty swans, all Whoopers as far as we could tell, were cruising down the river. They were also living up to their name, plenty of whooping to be heard.
We will be having some friends over this evening so I may not get to comment but I promise to try to catch up with you all as soon as I can.
