Carribean??

Well, you would think so when you see this unusual color.
This is a lake (pond), used as a sandpit.
The water has a strange blue/green color and is not frozen at all....
A nearby pond is completely frozen.
Strange..
We saw this near Gasselte in the province of Drenthe where we did a hike of 13 kilometers.
Maybe sister in law Caroline has some pictures too.

The snow was falling slowly during the hike.
Ouside of the forest it was windy but we planned the all of the hike in the forest so no problem.

Better in LARGE....
