As for Teesside in 2021 . . . The steel works maybe gone . . . but current work on the Teesside Steel Site will result in the recycling of billions of items of plastic waste. One new recycling plant will convert films, pots, tubs and trays back into the chemicals and oils from which they were made. By 2022 another site
Is expected to be able to process the equivalent of one billion plastic bottles a year. Providing valuable jobs for many folk, the future looks . . . grand !
