A Dull Day

To end the dullest of years. It has been tough year for most of us but nonetheless there have been good moments amidst it all. Just a few that come to mind immediately - I have certainly missed some. Waxwings on our street. The Thursday evening clapping for the NHS, shared with the neighbours. The little bits of community art that popped up to brighten the walk to the supermarket for essentials. My own Lockdown project with the Yellow Man and his pals. Birdwatching from the beach. Poppies along at Joppa. Zoom sessions with the choir. Creating an exhibition that was on in two countries at once and made it onto the BBC website and was seen by thousands of people around the world. The rest of the Art Walk - All At Sea but still happening within the restrictions. Birthday cakes in the park. My tenth blipday. Leeds and Dundee United both getting promoted. Meeting people unexpectedly when out for a walk. Photographing some of the few events in Portobello that still were able to take place. Many of these have been the subject of blips. It has been a strange year and dark as things seem right now, with COVID cases still rising and Brexit confirmed, I think there is hope for better things in 2021. Happy New Year everyone!
