Trek

Woke to clear skies and although little of the snow remained it was icy when I went out for milk first thing. Settled back to my photo sorting task....gradually feeling like I’m making progress but every now and then I wonder if this is a good use of time.
Chat to V and decided to go out for our planned walk later this afternoon, which left me with slightly itchy feet as I looked out at the sunshine, but powered on anyway.
I went over to meet her and we walked in a big loop to Musselburgh and back (6 miles) at a good pace, and really started to feel it on the last hill up from Portobello as the rain/snow started up, but we had a good time and talked non-stop the whole way, including to Mx who wanted to call and chat to me....he grabbed the phone as soon as I answered and proceeded to take me on a walk/dance around the house....we felt very dizzy by the end!
V had made a big fish pie for an early supper which we ate whilst watching Calendar Girls and chatting about the actors, women’s friendships and goodness knows what else. Nice to be home with most of the evening ahead, and watched more episodes of Scandal then had a long call with R, almost like one of our pub catch ups which was nice since I think it was February that we last had a chance to do that.
