Behind the house...
I drove down to Queen Alexandra hospital with provisions and treats for Mum, with cards, books, magazines and ear plugs to help her get through the night. The system was v well organised with Volunteers logging in and tagging parcels. Raced home so V could go and pack up more of the cottage. Walked W behind the house which is increasingly a discovery. We are on a vein of greensand which means there is a lot of planting, not only big asparagus fields here but also what seems to be called Rogate Common which is largely a plantation of confier and coppiced chestnut criss crossed by a huge network of paths so one can walk for miles without Woody ever having to go on a lead. Which feels pretty blessed. This view is up by the Rogate road side looking across to the Downs
