Fitting memorial

Memorial to Reverend John Paul in St. Cuthbert's Parish Church, Edinburgh. The plaque underneath reads 'To the memory of the Reverend John Paul D. D. Who died 18 May 1873 in the 79 (sic) year of his age and in the 46 (sic) of his ministry in St. Cuthberts. A sound divine, a prudent counsellor, a faithful friend revered and beloved by all, in his whole deportment crave and courteous, upright and honourable, ever by word and example commending the truth of the Gospel'. Now this is the sort of person who should be held up as a role model instead of selfish popstars, despicable reality TV hosts/contestants and primadonna professional footballers.
