Rubbish

Nearly missed my blip tonight. Fell asleep on the sofa when we got back from James and Lynne's and woke up with minutes of the day left! Didn't want to miss my second day this month so I grabbed the camera and took a very awful photo of the gingerbread dogs me and Tobes made this morning.

Had a rubbish afternoon too. Organised enough to get down to the yard for a ride. Mr EG had little ones and dogs in tow for a walk in the woods. I tacked Lime up and got about 200m up the road and realised he was lame in trot, even though he had trotted up sound at the yard (he felt a bit off on Wednesday when I rode so I trotted him up first to check). It looks and feels the same type of lameness as Summer 2011. Hopefully I can get farrier out and try the heart bar shoes again to balance him without incurring any massive vets bills. He's not hopping lame and is okay in walk so this will have to wait until next week. I was really disappointed to miss my ride and it just feels so typical of my luck that its happened when I am only just back in the saddle again after having Eva. Riding is my excuse for a bit of me time :0(
