Earth Stood Hard As Iron ...

.... Water like a stone. The coldest day so far this winter.

Well, it was a bit of a waste of time going to clean the lodge today, we could have done it at our leisure. We'll have a lot more leisure time now we're in Tier 4 of Lockdown. Visitors thankfully waited to hear the government's announcement before they set off from York.

I have to say, it won't change our lives very much, we haven't been doing much. Our New Year's Eve will be spent the same way as it has been all the millennium, with The Mate here watching videos. He's in our support bubble so that works very well.

It will be my birthday soon but we already knew we weren't going anywhere for that!

A really nice surprise, just as I was hearing the bad news from parliament, was a late Christmas card from a lovely   far away, whom I've followed since 2009!
