Cartoon Cardinal

I hope Mrs. Cardinal will forgive my playing around with her beautiful image. She posed so pretty for me this morning too but I didn’t want to do the same-old-same-old bird blip. Don’t you like her coy look? I don’t know what Mister was doing, he was no where to be seen and missed it all. Men! • I sorted through another few boxes of slides this morning using my new slide viewer. One in particular got my attention. It was of me at my maternal Grandmother’s house. I wasn’t yet walking as I balanced myself against an upholstered chair. That’s when I saw it resting in the corner of the seat. Something I had forgotten, but my eyes were immediately drawn to it, and then I remembered! • It was a small white pillow in the shape of a sleeping kitty. The cat’s features were outlined in black thread. It was flat and not very thick. I remember reaching for it, touching and holding it. I’m sure at that age I tasted it too, lol! Such a minor detail but how wonderful to be reminded of it again. My love for cats took root at an early age, I guess • A little light snow is on the way this evening. I take it as another sign of a fresh start, a brand new year ahead • Until tomorrow, blipmates!
