An unexpected visit

WalkingMarj sent Evan and Bella a Christmas gift of a book written by a friend of hers. Posted from the UK on December 15, it only arrived here on December 28 (our mail is shockingly slow since you-know-who tried to destroy it), so I drove out to their house to hand it to them in person this morning. Evan was in a mood to show off his (self-created) karate chops rather than look at the book, but later when he is a bit calmer Bella wants to read it to him. 

While I was there, they gave me their thank-you cards for Barrioboy and Digitaldaze, who sent them gifts from Barcelona. We all know and appreciate each other without living near each other. We couldn't have imagined it 15 years ago, but then we couldn't have imagined just about anything of 2020, 15 years ago.
