Snow field

Snow settled, even on the coast, overnight. On the city hills on the south side it was deep enough to sledge, ski and cycle! We really enjoyed our wintry walk there with stunning long distance views and all legally within our locked down city limits. A trip to the nearby Pentlands at Flotterstone would have, however, been illegal!
Despite there being so little for holidaying families to do due to the lockdown it was super to see all ages enjoying the snow. There was plenty of space for everyone up there too. On the way home we passed The King’s Theatre and the Playhouse Theatre which under normal times would be full of festive audiences. Their dark silence captures the state of the world in a very poignant way.
