Winter picnic

After our normal walk this morning we decided to go for a picnic, ham sandwiches, Christmas cake and flask of coffee.

 We drove out to Falling Foss but as the car park was full and it had started to rain we decided not to risk it. So we carried on and had a walk along the river at Ruswarp where the water was really brown from all the recent rain. The river is very popular in the summer with pleasure  boats. 

After our walk we headed on looking for a place for our picnic, we parked in the North Yorkshire Moors car park at the top of Blue bank and  this was our view (see extra).best seat in the house   car.

We returned home around 3 30 and just got in before the heavens opened.
