Not ...

... Mono Monday.

I spent almost an hour out on the deck this afternoon ... it was that lovely out today.  The temps were in the low 50's F and the sun was shining brightly, which made it feel warmer.   For December in the Northeast that's pretty nice!

As I sat photographing the squirrels for my other journal the birds were flying all around me.  I saw this beautiful male Red-bellied woodpecker up in the walnut trees and I was hoping he would come closer but he didn't.  He stayed way up in the trees so this is cropped quite a bit and was taken looking upward.  Not the best but it'll have to do.

We got out for a walk before supper this afternoon to enjoy the warmish temps even more.  Especially since R was stuck in the house most of the day working!
