Dear Hard Work

At least you came,
Turned up to watch me race,
At times you were frustrated,
As I ran below my racing potential,

My toe was tested throughout the loops,
Through trees,field, and trails,
No symptoms of pain,

I was glad to finish,
Below racing par,
But Mr Hard Work,
The Signs of greatness may be coming back....
