The Office Today

Yes, what a clutter! This is a good sign though - I feel creative and inspired after looking at and reading some of the books I got for Christmas.
I've been mainly drawing and writing a poem and generally enjoying the day...when I eventually got going that is, because I had woken up with a migraine so after taking a Zomig fell asleep again on the sofa. I woke up after an hour and felt fine, just a bit washed out for a while. So I missed morning walkies with Frank and Bella. It was such a beautiful day too, with bright blue sky and not a single cloud.

Last night we watched Part 1 of Black Narcissus a film adaptation of the book by Rumer Godden.
When we used to live in Moniaive many years ago (long before Frank and I were together) my young son came home from school with a book called 'The Dragon Of Og' and it was signed by the author - Rumer Godden, who lived in Moniaive at the time.
Years later when I was in the choir - Cairn Chorus - in Moniaive, we learnt a song that was written by another local choir leader. The song was based on another book by Rumer Godden - The Dolls' House. I loved the song - it was a story set to music. After the performances I was so enthralled that I bought the book second hand from Abe Books.
