Coltsfoot

The coltsfoots are among the most popular "signs of spring" in Sweden. It's easy to see why. They really catch one's eyes, peeping up through the dead brown grass like little suns.

They are not picky about where to settle, but often grow on roadsides and other rather dull and scrappy places.
