Praising And Praying

What a  strange year it has been! So many changes and losses.  But this morning Jubilate, our mixed ensemble, closed the musical year with two songs in praise of our unchanging God who knows the plans He has for us.  Then our interim pastor, Dr. David Smith spoke to us about our prayers and what they mean to God and how we can look at the golden bowls he asked us to bring with us this morning and be reminded that God enjoys the sweet fragrance of our prayers as we lift them up to Him.  It was a very moving service today and I am so looking forward to the new year as it begins with a contemporary service next week!
