Flooded Meadow

I walked across this field last Tuesday towards the village of Clapham whilst out walking with a friend, but as you can see it's now waterlogged.  One of the ladies from Bedford Camera Club lives close to the river and was evacuated on Christmas Eve.  She's now in Derbyshire with her daughter, having been given a special pass by the police just in case she gets stopped for being out of her area.

It's been a beautiful day and we weren't badly affected by last night's storm, so hopefully the river will quickly wend its way out to the north sea without causing any more damage.
