More late fungi
First the answer to yesterday’s Blip. They were Crabapples. Just two Blippers got it right. They were Technophobe and Crispin. Well done both.
This morning’s walk produced this nice example of Common Oyster Mushroom. Pleurotus ostreatus.
This prefers cold weather and appears late in the season. It is edible but it is the texture, not the taste, which makes it popular.
The barbed wire fence made it a bit difficult to photograph.
