Just in time for a sunset

We arrived at our rental on the beach, just in time to see the sun go down. There were very few houses available for rent, as the coast was pummeled by a disastrous hurricane just a few months the ago. The house is small and a bit run down, but we would much rather be here than not be here.

We took a ferry to get here, and the dogs were going crazy watching the seagulls fly by the car windows.

I am looking forward to many long walks on the beach, and some time to think about things which I usually have no time to consider.
