Christmas morning run
We started the day with a run along the side of Derwentwater - it was wonderful, if a little cold. The thermometer said -3.5 degrees. The edges of Strandshag bay was frozen, but the water was calm over the lake, giving pretty good reflections.
Then home for scrambled egg, smoked salmon and Buck's Fizz, cooked a lovely Christmas dinner (though we had ordered a turkey crown as there was only the two of us - it arrived weighing 5.5 Kg! So we'll be eating turkey for months.
A really lovely day, and the first one we've spent at home for a few years.
