On Reflection......

....I'm starting to think that I'm turning into a cranky old spinster. Increasingly often, I find myself shouting abuse at adverts on the tv. Here are my top three irritants....

1) Marco Pierre White, advertising those flippin' stock cubes, and looking remarkably smug about how his Boeuf Bourguignon would be better than yours. As if a multi-Michelin-starred chef would ever let a stock cube darken his Le Creusets!
We all know that Chef Marco (or any cook worth his Organic Maldon Salt) would beat himself to death with a mini egg whisk before he eschewed real bones!

2) Those interminable ads for online casinos/bingo, showing people with great teeth and hair, running around beaches, laughing their heads off with a bunch of similarly gorgeous friends. Somehow, I suspect that these are not the kind of people who sit at home gambling....

3) That bloody women who manages to crunch her way through a Magnum (other ice creams are available) bar. How is that even possible?
