Picnic at the tower

It was the perfect day to work off yesterday's celebrations. We set off through the frozen woods with light snow on the ground. The 450 metre climb to the Tour de Goa took an hour and a half where we met up with friends who had taken different paths up from villages in the two valleys. We even spotted one of Santa's reindeers having a well earned rest after recent exertions (extra). The picnic was of better quality than usual with some of yesterday's leftovers - capon and bread sauce sandwiches, quails eggs with celery salt, dates stuffed with marzipan, mince pies and cheesecake.
