Christmas Day

Our grandson was awake early although he had no idea it was Christmas Day but his parents helped him discover some new toys in his Santa bag.  By the time we came downstairs we could hear his laughter while playing with his toys.  

It was a lovely sunny but cold day and we all headed down to the beach before lunch.  There were many people out making the most of being able to meet up with their Christmas bubble (ie upto 3 households) for one day over Christmas.  We even saw several people enjoying a swim.  Although today is the traditional Christmas Day swim it is an organised event with the lifeboat and lifeguards involved.  It was cancelled this year.

As we walked further along the beach I spotted a newly knitted topper, see extras for the post topper and a poem attached to it.

It was then back home for a relaxed and enjoyable Christmas Day dinner and the usual festivities.
