Serendipity

Made it over the Soar.

See the 24th's Blip.

The water had subsided a bit and I managed to get over the River Soar to ride out on the Leicestershire Wolds today. This is one of my regular coffee stop spots. However, today not too much coffee was consumed as it was scalding! I normally cool it down after filling the flask but forgot today, it was only just cool enough to drink after two hours when I got home. I won't make that mistake again.

In the extra is the 'real' view. I added a bit of a bleach bypass effect to the main image as it reflects the rather grey weather of today. Who says the camera never lies?

Ps the land is dropping downhill to the right of the frame and, combined with a 28mm lens, it made this photo a right royal pain to level. Nothing looks straight!
