Horse Riding on the Ridge

The shortest day. Cold but not icy. The southerly breeze just enough not to result in a frost. The penultimate Sunday Ride follows the same route as last week. A stiff headwind out to West Linton, but no rain to contend with/ The Three Kings from last week's blip have moved on Once through Romannobridge, I can't spot them in West Linton. Extra 1 was taken from the moor road, heading home.

The ride can be seen at Relive here.

In the afternoon, I walk, with my partner, up to Swanston village. By the time we get up the path, the sun has already below the hill. The shadow of the Pentland Hills extends out to the Braid Hills (Extra 2). Along a ridge behind me are two horses being ridden along the ridge. Very difficult to capture because of the low light. Blue sky , clouds and a crescent moon. Further along the wee track, some weird clouds  are being created over Midlothian. (Extra 3). The could be from a Monty Python animation. Thankfully not heading this way, it seems to be a weather front heading away from us..
