SILLY SATURDAY - MORE CARDS THAN A CARD SHOP!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas and although many of you may not have been able to see your family, we hope you managed to speak to them and maybe have a Zoom or FaceTime chat with them.

We know that Mr. & Mrs. HCB had a lovely day yesterday - after a Zoom chat with two friends in the morning, Mrs. HCB rang their son and had a chat with him and then another couple of friends who are on their own.  It’s always good to check in with friends, to make sure they are OK, especially at times like this.   After a good lunch together - and you should have seen what they had on their plates, they were too full up for Christmas Pudding straightaway, so they went out for a walk.  We also noticed that they had a glass or two of red wine, which was probably the reason they didn’t go too far when they went out.  When they got back and had opened their presents, they just “chilled out” for the rest of the day - we couldn’t believe that Mrs. HCB didn’t go on her computer at all after she had done her Blip for the day earlier in the morning - that must be a first!

Anyway, we heard rumours that it was Mrs. HCB’s birthday today so we asked around and apparently it’s true - she’s supposed to be celebrating the 54th anniversary of her 21st birthday, but we think that’s highly unlikely and really silly.  She doesn’t look a day over 80 - ha ha!  Whoops, we had better watch out, if she knows we are being rude about her, she might get angry and you don’t want to see Mrs. HCB get angry!

Mr. HCB has a hard job at this time of the year because when cards come addressed just to Mrs. HCB he has to grab them and secrete them away until today - and if there is a gift too, he has to make sure that the card and gift go together, or it could get difficult if they are separated.  We love it when it’s someone’s birthday, because there is usually lots of cake and perhaps even some silly games, so that would fit in very well with today and of course, we know that Admirer would love silly games.

We thought we would join together to wish Mrs. HCB a very Happy Birthday - you can see all the cards people have sent - and I think there are more here than in a card shop - in fact, there was hardly room for all of us in the shot!  You know that Mrs. HCB likes a bit of fun, so I think she and Mr. HCB might be doing some Zoom games with their next door neighbours - the silly ones, Lynn and Mike - you must have heard of them before - so we will hang around and hopefully there will be lots of goodies to eat too.  Those silly neighbours even send the same birthday card that has been going back and forth since 2016!
