Snaking Line

A light dusting overnight covered the ice on the inlet providing a new surface to consider. The white expanse simplifies the scene, hiding many imperfections and leaving the remaining features to dot the landscape here and there.

I can't say what caused the line, but I'm glad I found it. Including only part of its arc adds questions: does it form a circle; what might it enclose; will it contract or expand? Who knows. The leaf, branch and twig form an arc going the other way.

I suspect the image might have more impact if I cleaned it up, but I mentioned my thought on that before.
