Christmas 2020

We have the most lovely day. Just the four of us as my parents were at my brothers. We zoomed them this morning and also the folks up North who we haven’t seen for a year.
The children woke us up just before 8 and opened their stockings on our bed as usual then downstairs for their main presents. Even though they’re 18 and 15, they still want to stick to the same routine, although we realised this morning we had forgotten to leave a mince pie and sherry for Father Christmas, shock horror. Luckily he obviously wasn’t offended and left the children sacks full of amazing gifts such as lovely new laptops, clothes, toiletries etc. Alfie made cocktails at about 12 o’clock and David cooked an amazing lunch then we had a sit down for a couple of hours (I might have dropped off) then poppy was nagging us to do the presents under the tree. I was very lucky and got a new phone, new wellies and my very own Nespresso machine now that I’m the only decaf drinker in the house. We got some more food out then had a few games and a couple of hands of cards.
The children have been excellent, were very pleased with their presents and have been great company. We’re so lucky to have had such a lovely, happy and relaxed day.I hope your Christmas has also been everything you hoped it would be.
