If this makes even less sense than usual, my excuse is  - I've been watching a clip of grandchildren Matty and Emily singing 'When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney',  ... and I may have had a couple of glasses of bubbles. And my cake-icing never fails to fail in some way or other ...
