The Angel & The Windmills, Aylesford
Christmas is an enjoyable, melancholic, sad and lovely time for me - a real mixture of emotions and feelings. On Christmas Day itself we always go down to put flowers and windmills on my mum's grave in the village. It's sad and melancholic but also joyful in a way, particularly on a gloriously, sunny, cold day like today. Her funeral was only a few days before Christmas nine year's ago and it was a day just like today so it somehow felt as if was only yesterday. When we got there we had a little chat and her angel was lit perfectly by the sun and her windmills spun around. It was really rather lovely - she loved Christmas so we always try and make sure to still have a great time in her honour.
The extra image is called " A Small Christmas In The Square". I took it in our village and rather loved this tiny tree busting a gut to make the square feel as festive as possible even though it was so small in stature.
