Christmas Eve

There was ice on the puddles on our walk through the woods after collecting Christmas goodies from the farm shop.

The news was full of expectations on an Brexit deal announcement. It was testing the skills of the holiday cover presenters who suddenly found themselves fronting a massive news day. The actual announcements did not finally go to air until after 15h when we were out in our street having a prearranged socially distanced festive catch up with our neighbours . We were spared the “Jingo” bells from No 10 all draped in Union Flags.
No deal would have been disastrous. This deal appears to be marginally better but there is much talk of devils lurking in the proverbial detail. We all have some additional holiday reading next week now!
